Getting our customers to ‘Show and tell’

When I visit clients they often mention that getting inspiration for future development of their intranet can be difficult and that it would be great to see what other companies have achieved.

To help them generate some new ideas, we invited our clients to a special event in Newbury. The purpose of our ‘Show and Tell’ was to get our customers together and give them the opportunity to see some of the great things our clients are doing.

Presentations were given by customers from a broad spectrum of industries ranging from convenience stores to legal firms. Each client had a story to tell and something that the rest of the audience could identify with. Whether that was increasing staff engagement or streamlining critical business processes by creating a new application, there were lessons to be learned.

Our clients that presented expressed a real sense of pride in their intranets and what they had achieved, and our event gave them the opportunity to showcase their accomplishments. Several customers also mentioned how valuable it had been to see how other companies had used their intranet to solve business issues similar to theirs.

As the event was such a success, we plan to run more in the future, to trigger new ideas for our customers.
